PERSONAL PROJECT.

Ornaments on a mantle piece are witnesses to the human stories that play out in homes. They have a narrative to tell.

My affinity with bric a brac comes from childhood memories, I identified with Nana’s collection of figurines and imagined going into their world.

I collected ornaments from charity shops and used hanker chiefs, my families hair, paint, stitch, soil and tights to show my feelings.
